2009 HIGHLIGHTS

2009 was a busy year for sports field development around New Zealand with preparations getting underway for the Rugby World Cup. Eden Park (Auckland), AMI Stadium (Christchurch) and Beetham Park (Hamilton) have upgraded irrigation systems designed and supplied with installation supervision using Rain Bird product and Advanced Irrigation Systems Ltd expertise.

In a staged redevelopment Grange Golf Club in Auckland has installed fairway watering using Rain Bird Eagle rotors, a new pump station and an Aqua Master Fountain.

SPORTS FIELDS

While Advanced Irrigation Systems are very proud of our involvement with the Rebel Sport Super 14 venues we also do a lot of work with other sports fields and surfaces.  Rain Bird products, combined with our design and installation skills, help to provide great playing surfaces for all levels of play.

We have been directly and indirectly involved with many sports turf projects over the past few years including:

  • Carlton Grammar Rugby Football Club (Auckland)
  • Alfriston College (Southeast Auckland)
  • Pringle Park Bowling Club (Henderson, Auckland)
  • Taupo District Council (Owen Delaney Park)
  • Kerepehi Bowling Club (Hauraki District)
  • Bell Park, Pakuranga Rugby Football Club (Auckland)
  • Tokoroa Memorial Sports Ground (Tokoroa)
  • Hamilton Working Mens Club (Hamilton)

The Kinloch Club irrigation system installation was effectively completed in September 2007. The Green Superintendent, Steve Marsden says "We couldn’t be happier, the combination of excellent Rain Bird product and the great support from the team at Advanced Irrigation Systems has made our job a whole lot easier".
